@Interbrand Best Global Brands includes 13 from the #Automotive Industry

Interbrand is a company that I idolize and would work for free just to get my foot in the door. Every year Interbrand publishes a list of the Best Global Brand, and I wanted to look at the best Automotive brands.

Interbrand's methodology looks at the ongoing investment and management of the brand as a business asset. The video explains why brand value is so important to the contribution of business success.

Yes you have Coca-Cola taking the top spot followed by Apple, IBM and Google. But where do the car companies rank? Remember, this is a global list, so not everything has a Mercedes Benz or a Ferrari and there are many countries where a Ferrari has never set tire in. So without further adieu here is a list of the automotive companies that made Interbrand's top 100 Best Global Brands List.

10: Toyota
11: Mercedes Benz
12: BMW
21: Honda
39: Volkswagen
45: Ford
53: Hyundai
55: Audi
72: Porsche
73: Nissan
87: Kia
96: Harley Davidson
99: Ferrari

Now what I would like to talk about is the automotive icon Ferrari. How can it barely make it onto the list? Ferrari is a company built solely upon its brand and its logo. Ferrari co-brands everything from Puma shoes to golf clubs.

Out of everyone on the list of top 100 global brands Disney is the only one with a theme park!

Interbrand states that "Ferrari is as strong as ever and continues to find new ways to excel as one of the world's most legendary automotive brands. " I do not believe that Ferrari is not much higher on the list, to put it in perspective KFC, yes Kentucky Fried Chicken landed at 64th.

I am going to do a little more research into how these ranking are created, but until I do here are the links to every automotive company on Interbrand's list.
