These photos are from September 3, 2012 and were taken in Durango, Colorado. These cars are about to take on the "Million Dollar Highway." With the alititude topping off at 11, 018 feet and hundreds of tight mountain turns, this seems like the perfect place to test some new cars.
There were 7 black Volkswagens with no labels on any of the cars, just the single VW Badge on the front and back.Each car had a driver with no passengers, with computer monitoring systems on the insides
The rims are look like the new offerings on the High end GTI and GLI - So I am thinking this might be a test mule for a new Passat wagon and the new GTI? No vinyl covering was present, but 2 of the cars did not have working taillights.
